Senior Paralegal, Court of Protection
Rebecca is a Senior Paralegal in our Court of Protection team, based in our Leeds office.
She helps Court of Protection Solicitor Jamie Gordon and the wider team, specialising in cases involving a person’s health and welfare.
This includes s21A appeals against Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and cases concerning people’s best interests addressing complex issues such as residence, care and contact.
Rebecca entered the legal profession at another firm of solicitors, where she undertook a variety of different roles including working on cases relating to clients sectioned under the Mental Health Act 1983.
She then progressed to working as a paralegal specialising in Court of Protection.
Professional Memberships & Accreditations
Rebecca is a graduate member of CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives).
She completed her CILEx Level 6 - a Professional Higher Diploma in Law & Practice - in May 2021. She now hopes to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive by 2023.
Interests outside of work
Rebecca is part of a local running club which meets twice a week. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
