Victim of poor working circumstance receives compensation
We recently assisted a postal delivery worker following an accident at work
On the 9th of December our client had made a collection of mail and was returning to his Royal Mail vehicle when due to a poor collection route, inadequate lighting and congestion the bag caught on a vehicle resulting in a jerking injury to our client's left wrist.
He sustained a soft tissue injury
requiring treatment from his general practitioner and a physiotherapist.
Lisa Sheldon, Manchester based Personal Injury Solicitor said: "The liability of this case had been denied throughout so we therefore obtained a statement sketch plan and photographs. Also medical evidence was obtained and we issued proceedings which we then made a part 36 offer resulting in £2000 compensation award
for our client."
