Tropitel Naama Bay – Salmonella Food Poisoning – Egyptian Two-Step Illness

Dated:

Simpson Millar’s specialist holiday compensation claims lawyers are currently receiving reports of salmonella food poisoning from holiday-makers returning from the Tropitel Naama Bay in Egypt.

The number of holiday-makers contracting Travellers’ diarrhoea whilst in Egypt appears to be rising as the main holiday season begins.

Unfortunately British holiday-makers are returning from the Tropitel Naama Bay complaining of debilitating bouts of bacterial food poisoning caused by salmonella and possibly other infections during their holiday in Egypt.

Simon Lomax, Simpson Millars Solicitors’ Holiday Illness Compensation Claims manager states:

"The holiday-makers who have instructed us to claim compensation from their tour operator, Thomas Cook, have experienced serious gastro intestinal disorders. Salmonella is a really nasty bug which causes stomach cramps - head aches - fever and profuse and watery diarrhoea."

"Victims of Salmonella commonly ingest food or water contaminated with faecal matter.

We suspect that health and safety standards at the Tropitel Naama Bay may have lapsed of late and this has gone unnoticed by Thomas Cook and other UK tour operators. If it transpires that travellers’ have been struck down with salmonella food poisoning or any other illness caused by poor hygiene conditions we will endeavour to claim holiday compensation from those at fault."

The Tropitel Naama Bay is a value for money 3 star budget hotel advertised by Thomas Cook in its brochures and on its website. Other budget accommodation in Egypt includes the: Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay – Tropicana Grand Oasis – Tiran Island Hotel – Tropicana Jasmine Club – Park Inn and Sea Life Hotel.
