Successful compensation claim for injured postal worker

We have been successful in securing a compensation claim sum of £9,000 for a client who was injured whilst working as a post woman. Whilst delivering post on 29 September 2006 our client’s ‘golf trolley’ used for carrying her deliveries collapsed during her rounds and she suffered injuries to her knees and ribs.

Knee Injury caused by accident at workAged 43 at the time, our client had led an active life away from work including horse riding, cycling and walking. But after her accident she was forced to take several weeks off work and in fact her injuries caused pain and problems for up to another 24 months, preventing her from enjoying her hobbies which she has still not been able to return to.

Our client’s worst affected knee now has a habit of ‘locking’ or giving way and she is now awaiting a third operation to attempt to resolve her ongoing knee problems.

Our client was awarded compensation in full including General Damages and compensation for psychological injuries. Her total compensation claim for personal injury in the workplace therefore totalled £9,000.
