Lady receives compensation after slipping over in a shopping centre
We recently helped a client who had sustained an injury following a slipping accident
in a Manchester shopping centre claim personal injury compensation for her injuries.
Our client was walking through the shopping centre when she slipped and landed heavily due to something spilt on the floor
. She suffered a back injury
due to the heavy nature of her fall.
We issued a personal injury claim
on our client's behalf against the shopping centre owners as they had failed to ensure that the floor was kept in an adequate state of cleanliness and free from any spillages
. At the very least their should have been signs put up to alert visitors to the hazard on the floor in order to prevent the risk of injury.Emma Roberts, Personal Injury Claims
specialist said: "This type of personal injury claim is known as an occupier's liability case and upon contacting the shopping centre they were very reluctant to admit liability for our client's accident and despite the evidence we had against them they continued to prolong the case and deny liability."
"However we persisted and the personal injury claim was issued and at the last minute they finally made an offer and the claim was settled on an amicable basis."
Our client received £1,200 in compensation
following her slipping accident.
