Jenine Abdo Family Law in Cardiff
Simpson Millar LLP is pleased to welcome Jenine Abdo as our Family Law Solicitor in Cardiff. She has already taken part in some amazing projects in South Wales, and we hope she will continue to shine in her new role.
For Cardiff and the Community
Jenine began at Simpson Millar LLP in our Cardiff branch working as a paralegal in the Industrial Disease/Personal Injury department
. She quickly propelled through the ranks to become the first trainee solicitor at our Cardiff office before being transferred to Leeds to train and specialise in Family Law
Currently sharing her time between the Bristol and Cardiff, Jenine will be helping clients
with divorce, care proceedings, child arrangement orders and civil partner disputes.
Jenine has continued to contribute to the local community by becoming a member of some really valuable projects in the area. She is a member of the Cardiff and District Law Society, Cardiff Junior Lawyers Division, an ambassador for Show Racism the Red Card
in Wales and Director and co-founder of the 'LAC (Law Abiding Citizen) Project'
The LAC Project will start with a 6 week pilot scheme working with teenagers from inner city Cardiff. The purpose is to help raise awareness and educate them about the legal justice system, whilst encouraging them to be good citizens. This is especially important in a day and age where many teens are often viewed as stereotypically not adhering to the law. Jenine also spends her time running a legal advice clinic for Communities First in Cardiff Bay and also helps to support a local women's and domestic violence agency, Safe AS
Not Scared of the Controversial
As an aspiring solicitor in Family Law, Jenine has never shied away from the more controversial but contemporary topics
, gaining her respect in her field. Jenine's recent articles about the practicalities of forced marriage
and divorce in the face of religion
, are areas where the right information and help at the right time are crucial to working through the process.
Along with her legal pursuits, Jenine is soon to take up a position at the University of South Wales
where she will be guest lecturing and helping students with Family Law at their pro bono clinic.
Again, we wish to congratulate Jenine on her new qualification to family law solicitor and we wish her the best here at Simpson Millar LLP
