Immigration Specialists Host Seminar at the British University Fair

Emma will be advising on the immigration rules for international students hoping to put her talent to use by staying on to work in the UK after their studies. The seminar will look at the rules for working in the UK and navigating our immigration system.

What is the British University Fair?

The fair is a free event for international students and is organised by IEC Abroad, an education consultancy that provides guidance to international students.

The purpose of the fair is to give international students the valuable chance to meet and talk to top universities and language schools. You also get to make the most of your day by attending useful seminars on topics such writing a personal statement, preparing for your career and the immigration laws you'll face.

Leeds and Manchester Immigration Lawyers Providing Advice

Emma Brooksbank is our Associate Solicitor and Head of Immigration in our Leeds city centre office. Emma advises in all areas of immigration and has worked hard to develop strong links with regional universities. Emma acts of behalf of international staff and students from these universities.

We know that international students bring high levels of skill to the UK and develop their expertise whilst studying. Students wish to use their talents at the end of their studies and helping to facilitate this is also beneficial for the UK economy.

A big hurdle for international students wishing to start working in the UK is the immigration rules, which are becoming more complex and increasingly difficult to satisfy.

By joining our seminar at the university fair, we'll help to explain these rules and how to successfully navigate them to secure a work visa at the end of your studies. We'll be looking in particular at Sponsored Work under Tier 2 and the Points Based System.

Come Along to Our Seminar

The British University Fair is being held in Manchester at the Exchange Foyer, Manchester Central, Windmill Street, M2 3GX. The event is entirely free and you can get your ticket at their website.

If you'd like to learn more about navigating the rules to secure a work visa at the end of your studies, make sure you remember to register for Emma's seminar which is on in the Exchange Hall between 1.30-2.15pm.

We'll be offering a special discount for all attendees.
