Holiday Illness Strikes Club Tarhan Didim in Altinkum Turkey
Holiday illness claims specialists, Simpson Millar LLP, have been contacted by ill holiday makers staying at the Club Tarhan Didim in Turkey who have suffered sickness with symptoms including debilitating diarrhoea – stomach cramps – nausea and lethargy.
Holiday makers describe the hotel on TripAdvisor as the "worst hotel in Turkey!

"I was shocked to receive an e-mail from one family staying at the Club Tarhan Didim
describing how they had spent a large proportion of the holiday in bed ill!"
"British holiday makers travelling with the tour operators, Thomas Cook and Olympic Holidays should not be subjected to illness caused by poor health and safety standards at the Club Tarhan Didim."
"Recent reports expose poor hygiene with the swimming pool and substandard food practices - two possible causes of holiday sickness currently being experienced by holiday makers."
"Holiday makers staying at the Club Tarhan Didim in July and August 2010 have commented on seeing raw sewage
in the swimming pool and the hotel’s doctor has regularly been seen making daily rounds!"
"Reports also suggest that waiters have been seen returning food to the buffet which has accidently been dropped on the floor by children."

"I would be interested to know why the tour operator’s monthly auditing processes did not reveal such hygiene issues at the Club Tarhan Didim!"
"Tour operators are under a duty to take reasonable and adequate steps to monitor the incidence of sickness among holiday makers at the Club Tarhan Didum. Surely they should be identifying practices which cause a significant risk of illness to travellers?"
"I will be seeking to recover substantial compensation for those holiday-makers who have suffered food poisoning or any other debilitating sickness bug at the Club Tarhan Didum in Turkey."
