Holiday Claims – Kuredu Island Hotel – Illness bug strikes Maldives

Simpson Millar Solicitors LLP have received reports from holiday makers hit by an outbreak of illness at the Kuredu Island Resort Hotel in the Maldives.

Holiday makers arriving home from the Kuredu Island Hotel in the Maldives resort of Lhaviyani Atoll are contacting Holiday Claims Solicitors Simpson Millar describing a widespread sickness bug causing gastric illness amongst the hotels guests with symptoms presenting as severe diarrhoea and bouts of vomiting.

Nick Harris, Head of Travel Law at Simpson Millar said:

"We are concerned by the reports we are receiving but at this stage it is too early for us to comment about the likely cause of the illness outbreak at the hotel."

However, if it transpires that anyone has contracted a pathogen such as salmonella or E-coli then this would indicate a serious problem.

If the sickness outbreak has been caused by food poisoning then those affected will be entitled to receive substantial compensation.

Nick Harris urges anyone who has been affected by illness at the hotel to contact him.

The Kuredu Island Resort, otherwise known as the Kuredu Island Hotel is located in the Maldives resort of Lhaviyani Atoll and boasts 330 rooms.
