Head Injury at work claim results in compensation award
We were approached by a gentleman after he sustained an injury in an accident
at his place of work.
He had been using a machine which had recently been fitted with a precision saw. The saw stopped working
so he isolated it at the electric panel and tried to access the saw area
to see what was causing the problem.
Due to the space constriction he had to go down onto his knees to access the area. As he came out of the area he banged his head
causing a laceration which resulted in scarring
His employer’s admitted liability for the accident immediately
after liaising with their insurers. An initial offer of £1,200
was put forward by the insurers however we felt that this was not sufficient.
Medical evidence was obtained and we asked for improved offers
to be made. An offer of £2,350 was put forward which was accepted
by our client for his accident at work.
Regarding his experience working with Simpson Millar Solicitors, our client said "I would like to say how professional and helpful
the company of solicitors was in helping me when needed."
