Construction Accident at Work victim claims compensation

Dated:

We were instructed by our client to pursue a personal injury claim on his behalf following an accident at work.

Construction Accidents – Personal InjuryOur client was working on a building site alongside his colleague. As he ascended the stairs to the 1st floor of a new build house via a ladder, and proceeded to walk across the 1st floor, the floor suddenly gave way and he fell through the floor to the ground floor together with the debris.

Our client sustained a laceration to his thigh, which required sutures and also resulted in him experiencing strange sensations in his leg, together with scarring.

We helped our client issue a personal injury claim under the Health and Safety at work regulations, workplace regulations and working at height regulations, as all employers have a duty of care to keep their employees safe at all times and provide a safe environment to work in.

Alison Mills, Personal Injury Claims Executive said: "Accidents at work can be extremely serious especially those in the construction sector. Falls from height remain the most common and can be the most serious."

Our client received nearly £4,000 in compensation for his injuries and losses sustained during his accident at work.
