£250,000 compensation awarded for serious road traffic accident with a tractor
We were instructed by a client who was a passenger in a vehicle which was involved in a high speed collision
Our client was travelling as a passenger in a transit van when the van collided with a tractor
. During the accident our client sustained multiple serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital where he received reconstructive surgery for a complex crush injury to his left foot
and relocation of the left hip.
Following the accident our client has required further surgery
, extensive rehabilitation
and input from vocational rehabilitation experts
as he was unable to resume employment as a soft floor layer.
Settlement was agreed by way of a Joint Settlement Meeting
. Damages of £250,000 were agreed
for pain, suffering, loss of amenity, care and assistance, travel expenses, damaged clothing, damaged tools and past and future loss of earnings.
