Slip and Fall Claim Awarded £15,000 Compensation Case Study

Our client was in a shop when she slipped on a wet floor. She sustained a serious injury to her pelvis and wrist during the fall. She contacted our Personal Injury Solicitors to make a claim for compensation.

The owner of the shop admitted liability however an element of contributory negligence was agreed.

The initial offer of compensation from the shop owner was £6,750 which we considered too low. The client didn’t want to issue Court proceedings however we pushed for a higher offer. We eventually settled the claim with the client receiving £15,000 personal injury compensation.

After the claim was settled our client said, "I am indebted to Simpson Millar for the way in which they pursued my claim after the accident."
