Oxis Energy Staff Could Claim up to 90 Days’ Pay
If you worked for Oxis Energy Limited, and you’ve lost your job because the company has gone into administration, you could claim up to 90 days’ pay by making a Protection Award Claim.
There’s no minimum length of service to make a claim, but to be eligible, you must meet two conditions:
- There must have been at least 20 members of staff who lost their job at the same location
- Your employer didn’t consult you properly about your redundancy

How do I Claim a Protective Award?
To make a Protective Award Claim, you’ll need a Judgment from an Employment Tribunal in your favour. We can help you make a Protective Award Claim either on your own or with your colleagues.
First, you need permission from the appointed joint administrators, Simon Girling and Christopher Marsden. You’ll then be required to complete an Early Conciliation with ACAS before the Tribunal.

How much do you get for a Protective Award Claim?
You can claim up to 90 days’ pay through a Protective Award Claim. Both full time and part-time workers can make a claim, and the amount you’ll get will be based on your gross weekly pay.
There’s a cap of £544 per week and the maximum amount you can get is £4,352. You’re also guaranteed to get at least 8 weeks’ pay by HM Government Insolvency Service.
If you’re due any outstanding wages, holiday pay or redundancy pay, these won’t be affected by a Protective Award Claim. You can apply for these separately and these will be paid by the joint administrators.
Is there a Time Limit for making a Protective Award Claim?
You have 3 months less one day from the date of your redundancy to make a Protective Award Claim. This is a strict time limit, so it’s important to get legal advice from an expert Employment Solicitor as soon as you can so you don’t miss out on making a claim.
