A Pedestrian Accident Claim Case Study

Our Personal Injury Solicitors successfully represented a client who suffered a serious head injury when he was hit by a car as he walked across a zebra crossing.

Due to the accident our client sustained serious head injuries which resulted in 3 week hospital stay where he was transferred from intensive care to a high dependency unit.

As a result of the head injuries he incurred during the accident, our client suffered from loss of hearing, continuous headaches and regular bouts of dizziness, in addition to occurrences of memory loss. Our client now requires regular attention as he is unable to look after himself and has as a result of the accident, moved in with his partner where he relies on his partner to care for him.

After being examined by 2 medical experts, our client was diagnosed to have suffered a traumatic brain injury and a mild to moderate concussive head injury. Both experts agreed that further recovery was required for our client stating that our client would not be able to return to work for a minimum of 12 months.

Liability was in question and due to conflicting views and evidence, the case was not straight forward but our Personal Injury Solicitors persisted. Due to strong witness statements our Solicitors were able to obtain a fair amount of compensation for our client.
