A Protective Award is compensation awarded by an employment tribunal because your employer did not consult with you before you were made redundant. This may be the case with some Debenhams employees.
You may be eligible to claim up to 90 days’ pay. This is usually up to 8 weeks’ pay with a maximum amount of £538 per week, totaling a maximum award of £4,304.
