Personal injury award for local lawyer

Simpson Millar’s Lisa Sheldon has been praised by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers for her commitment to helping injured people seek compensation through a decade’s worth of membership.

Lisa Sheldon was presented with a 10-year anniversary certificate by Deborah Evans, chief executive of APIL – recognising her as one of the association’s long standing members.

"APIL is a hugely important organisation for people who have sustained an injury; helping them find the best personal injury lawyer to represent them, and lobbying to preserve access to justice for everyone," said Lisa who joined the association in 2003. "APIL’s work with some of our most important charities – those that help care for injured people and support them in rebuilding their lives – is really worth supporting and something I am proud to be a part of."

Lisa qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and became a partner with Simpson Millar just three years after joining the firm in 1989.

"Time and time again Lisa has proven herself to be one of our leading personal injury lawyers; making sure our clients get the compensation and the justice they deserve," said the firm’s managing partner, Peter Watson.

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is a not-for-profit organisation which fights for the rights of injured people.
