Accident at work results in £1,200 compensation

Slip, Trip, HazardOur client required assistance in making a claim for compensation after he slipped.

He was commuting to work when he entered Canning Town bus station. As he walked into the station, he slipped on a defective plastic strip that was not secured properly at the entrance. The floor was also wet. This caused our client to suffer from injuries to his lower back and coccyx.

The defendant initially denied that the area was defective; however we were able to show photographic evidence of the defective plastic strip. The defendant then admitted liability.

After medical evidence was obtained, the defendant put forward an offer of £850 which we were able to negotiate higher to £1,200 which was ultimately awarded to our client for his personal injury claim.
