What type of claim can we deal with on your behalf?
If you sustain an injury and someone else is to blame then you may be able to claim compensation.
We can act on your behalf in respect of accident claims whether in or out of work.
We can deal with various claims on you and your families' behalf. We may also be able to assist your friends with their claims.
Employer's Liability Claims
This covers all types of accidents at work, eg:
- Manual handling of items eg lifting of mail bags; boxes; the moving of York containers; emptying of RSCs
- Carrying out tasks that you have not been trained to do, resulting in injury
- Injured as a result of the actions of a fellow employee eg an employee accidentally pushing a York container into you
- Accidents from working in hazardous areas eg tripping over a box which has been left on the floor by another employee; tripping on stappex which has been discarded
- We also deal with injuries which are sustained as a result of the repetitive nature of carrying out a particular task eg RSI and WRULD injuries
Public Liability Claims
This covers accidents such as:
- Tripping on the pavement or road due to a hazard eg pot holes, raised paving slabs, protruding drain covers
- Accidents where you have sustained injuries whilst delivering mail to homes/businesses eg tripping on driveway
- Accidents in shops eg slipping on spillages in supermarkets
Dog Bite Claims
If you have been attacked or injured by a dog whether in or outside of work we can help you claim compensation for your injuries.
Criminal Injury Claims
If you have been physically assaulted, through no fault of your own, in or outside of work you could be entitled to compensation for your injuries. This also includes being attacked by bandits.
Road Traffic Accident Claims
If you are involved in a non-fault accident whether at work or off duty as set out below we can help you claim compensation:
- The driver or passenger of a motor vehicle
- Whilst riding a motorbike or bicycle
- As a pedestrian
Holiday Claims
If you have an non-fault accident abroad we can help you claim compensation eg:
- Food poisoning
- Road traffic accidents
- Trips and slips
- Broken chairs eg deck chairs, sun lounges, tables - any sort of defective equipment related injury
- Falling objects
- Carbon monoxide poisoning
- Electrocution
- Medical fees
Accident compensation
