Our client was stationery in his car waiting behind a queue of traffic when the
third party car collied into the back of his vehicle. He suffered a
whiplash injury and had to have a course of physiotherapy on his neck for
3 months to relieve the symptoms. We recovered £1,605 in car accident compensation
for our client.

Simpson Millar LLP Solicitors' road accident compensation team were able to assist
a client who was involved in a car crash where the 3rd party lost control of his
vehicle and crossed on to the client’s side of the road. The collision to the front
offside of the client’s vehicle was of such force that the vehicle was pushed into
a ditch resulting with the emergency services having to cut our client out of his
vehicle.
As a result of the car accident our client suffered an injury to his knee, his lower
back and suffered from a combination of persistent headaches, memory loss and fatigue.
During the course of our investigations it transpired that the 3rd party was not
insured. The only available cause of action for the client was through the Motor
Insurers’ Bureau.
As the Motor Insurers’ Bureau proceeded with their investigations into the crash
we received confirmation that the third party had been reprimanded with driving
convictions. Upon receipt of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau agreement to deal with the
client’s claim we were able to successfully recover hire costs, and a sum for personal
injury, totalling £4,735.

Simpson Millar LLP Solicitors' road accident compensation team were able to assist
a client who was involved in a motorway crash with an articulated lorry, when the
lorry swerved into her lane and clipped the back of her vehicle. The client and
her daughter who was in the passenger seat each sustained a whiplash injury and
also suffered quite severe psychological symptoms as a result of the crash. As the
lorry was driven by a foreign driver, there was some difficulty establishing the
appropriate insurers and the Motor Insurers’ Bureau were able to assist us in obtaining
the appropriate details of the UK handling agents.
Injuries were assessed and we were able to successfully recover lost earnings, policy
excess, a hire account and a sum for care and assistance received as a result of
their car accident, on behalf of our client, totalling in excess of £7000. From
start to finish this complicated matter took just 18 months to settle.
