Case examples
Ben was 9 years old when he was spinally injured during the course of medical treatment.
His parents contacted local solicitors to investigate a claim. Ten years later,
after having explored every avenue of medical investigations, his legal team advised
that there was no case and his legal aid certificate was withdrawn. He then sought
a second opinion from our Warren Collins. Within 3 months, an agreement on liability
was secured and an interim payment of £500,000 was achieved. Within 3 years, a bungalow
was purchased, a care package set up and an 8-figure settlement achieved.
Jo was having a night out at a local nightclub with a group of friends at a local
nightclub. Without any good reason, she was assaulted by one of the doorman from
the nightclub. Jo suffered a serious spinal cord injury. The doorman was subsequently
found guilty of assault in the Crown Court. Following a referral from the Spinal
Injuries Association, Jo met with several solicitors before choosing to instruct
our Warren Collins to handle her case. Following complex arguments on law and insurance,
the claim eventually settled for a 7 figure sum just days before the final trial.
