Employment Law with a specialism in discrimination law
Linda qualified as a solicitor in 1999. Before joining Simpson Millar as a Partner in 2010, Linda held the position of Senior Equality Policy Officer with the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and before that, was a Partner in another national trade union law firm. Linda has specialised in Employment law for over 10 years, mainly advising and representing Trades Unions and their members. She also previously worked part-time for the TUC as an Employment Rights Policy Officer.
On 1 August 2011 Linda became Head of the Employment Team at Simpson Millar LLP. She deals with all aspects of the employment relationship but her specialism lies in discrimination law, particularly sex (pregnancy/maternity) and sexual orientation discrimination. She has acted in reported cases and has a broad experience of multi-party cases involving TUPE, collective redundancy and contractual issues. Linda advises trades unions on recognition in the workplace and has represented unions before the Central Arbitration Committee.

Linda is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Industrial Law Society.
Linda’s interests include art history, dogs, cooking, ‘wild’ camping and bushcraft, politics, science, Munro bagging and football. Linda is a member of the GMB union and a keen Arsenal FC fan.
