Property Litigation, Professional Negligence and Debt Recovery
I have lived in Leeds for 23 years, only leaving for 3 years to study Philosophy and Politics at the University of Manchester. After graduating I completed the GDL at Leeds Metropolitan University followed by the LPC at BPP Leeds.
I joined Simpson Millar LLP in November 2012 in the accounts department until I moved to the Commercial Department as a paralegal in March 2013. As a paralegal I assisted our two litigation solicitors in their case load and maintained my own small case load which has included property litigation, professional negligence and debt recovery. I commenced a training contract in August 2015 and I am currently still working within the litigation department. I now have my own caseload which still includes property litigation and professional negligence as well landlord/tenant issues and disputes between businesses and their suppliers, customers and competitors.
I attend regular networking events to bring new clients to the firm including attending a weekly networking group called BNI.
Outside of work my main interests are football, rugby and powerlifting. I have competed in powerlifting since 2008 and I have won three British Junior titles and represented Great Britain at the World Championships. I enjoy training, competing and coaching newer lifters in the sport. I am a season ticket holder at both Leeds United and Leeds Rhinos.
