Employment Law with a specialism in discrimination law
Linda qualified as a solicitor in 1999. Before joining Simpson Millar as a Partner in 2010, Linda covered the role of Senior Equality Policy Officer with the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and before that, was a Partner in another national trade union law firm.
Linda has specialised in Employment law for over 16 years and became Head of the Employment Team at Simpson Millar LLP in 2011.
She deals with all aspects of the employment relationship but her specialism lies in gender pay and discrimination law, particularly sex (pregnancy/maternity) and sexual orientation discrimination. She represents CEOs, MDs, and ODs, acting in reported cases, and has a broad experience of multi-party cases involving TUPE, collective redundancy, and contractual issues.
Linda champions diversity and inclusion in the workplace, providing support, advice, and training to forward-thinking employers to help them get the most out of their staff.
Linda is recommended in the Legal 500 United Kingdom 2016 edition for her work in the employment sector.
Linda is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Industrial Law Society.
Linda’s interests include art history, dogs, politics, science and football. Linda is a member of the GMB union and a keen Arsenal FC fan.
