Working in Simpson Millar's Cardiff office, Joanna is a Litigation Executive for our Industrial Disease and Serious Personal Injury Department. In Poland, Joanna obtained a Master of Law degree; she is currently studying Law with a specialism in civil litigation with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Boasting a long career in litigation, Joanna has experience of various international legal systems, including Poland and Canada. As well as working as a Legal Specialist and Paralegal for international accountancy firms and city councils, Joanna has 6 years' experience of working as a Paralegal in the UK.
Taking on pro bono work throughout her career, Joanna believes in building relationships through trust and prides herself on her high moral and ethical standards. These values are underlined by Joanna's extensive work with charities, as she has volunteered for the Committee for the Protection of Children’s Rights in Poland, the Child Brain Injury Trust in the UK, and the United Way Centraide in Canada.
Joanna currently works on cases involving industrial repetitive strain disorders, pulmonary diseases, occupational skin disorders, and noise induced hearing loss. Joanna also has experience dealing with human rights breaches, invasion of privacy, and stress-related illnesses.
Joanna is a member of CILEx, The Law Society, and APIL.
Joanna is passionate about travelling and in her spare time practices yoga, enjoys reading novels and non-fiction publications on medicine and psychology, and is an avid baker. When she is not keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the medical world Joanna is an enthusiastic volunteer for Headway in Cardiff.
