David qualified as a solicitor in November 1989 and joined Simpson Millar in July 1992. He became a Partner 2 years later, handling personal injury and general litigation cases at the London Office, and also acting as Receiver/Deputy for clients lacking mental capacity. David retired from the partnership in July 2009 and is developing his Court of Protection practice as a consultant. He acts as Deputy in his own right for a number of clients and also on behalf of lay Deputies in advising them on making applications to the Court of Protection. He also acts as trustee on Personal Injury Trusts and continues to take general litigation cases, and in particular professional negligence claims (including claims against solicitors).
