Our client was in a shop when she slipped on a wet floor. She sustained a serious injury to her pelvis and wrist during the fall.
The owner of the shop admitted liability however an element of contributory negligence was agreed.
The initial offer from the owner only left our client to potentially receive £6,750 which we considered too low. The client didn’t want to issue court proceedings however we pushed for a higher offer. We eventually settled with the client receiving £15,000 personal injury compensation.
After the claim was settled our client said "I am indebted to Simpson Millar for the way in which they pursued my claim for compensation following my accident."
