The Law Of... celebrating different culturesOn Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July, come and join Simpson Millar's Immigration team at the Manchester mela 2016!
Diving Into A New Culture
Taking place over 2 days at Platt Fields Park, this free event raises awareness of and celebrates South Asian culture through traditional music and dancing, authentic cooking, and arts and crafts.
Now in its 13th year, the mela brings together individuals from all cultures and backgrounds, and exclusively features:
- Free henna painting
- Face painting
- Dance workshops
- A fashion show, featuring the latest styles in Asian clothing
- A funfair
- Sports, including kabbadi – a classic Indian sport, in which players have to tag/capture their opponents whilst holding their breath and running, and repeating the word 'kabaddi' at the same time!
