Hi. I am
Allison Chatto and I am based in the Gateshead office of Simpson Millar
and I am specialised in recovering debts. We have a specialist team here at Simpson
Millar focused purely on
recovering debts that are owed to you.
Within the debt recovery department we offer various services including debt recovery
for invoice collection, service charge collection and landlord and tenant possession
work. Unfortunately late paying customers are unlikely to change their habits without
pressure to do so.
At Simpson Millar we act as an extension to your credit control procedures. We can
support you with a partnership approach which reminds your debtors that payment
to you really is a priority. Our residential property and rent recovery team act
efficiently and quickly to achieve maximum results for you in getting your property
back and your rent arrears paid. Our team has an excellent knowledge of the rent
recovery process and debt recovery process and the various aspects of it.
We believe our approach by profiling a debtor and assessing the likelihood of a
return before commencing any action against them offers a client a superior service.

from preparation of Section 21 Notices and Section 8 Notices through to full Section
8 Proceedings and representation at eviction proceedings. We will also support our
clients through the eviction process should that be necessary.

I think, a sign of the current financial climate that we are in and it just takes
a letter from us usually, just to provoke or remind their clients that they need
to pay their invoices.
We do have clients who are individuals who will instruct us to recover unpaid personal
loans to family members or friends or business colleagues. We do undertake those
instructions as well or we will certainly review the paperwork and have a look at
it.
